A “Yes” All Day

Counselors Lisa and Sharon had some happy campers. 6-year-olds Aubree, Piper, Rhylee, and Finley were all decked out on this first day of RFKC. They had braids and matching ribbons in their hair, stylin’ sunglasses, a light whiff of perfume, and even shiny gloss on their tiny lips. These little lovelies hopped and skipped everywhere they went. They were feeling on top of the world.

Lisa explained why their girls had such a positive attitude… because it’s a “Yes!” all day. “Can we stop and read a story?” one would ask. “Yes!” was the automatic reply. “Can I wear this outfit to activity centers?” another one inquired. A “Yes!” came back with no hesitation. “How about we check our mail?” a young one requested. “Yes!” Sharon and Lisa answered in unison. You get the idea.

These two fun-loving and wise counselors understood that their sweet girls heard “No!” way too often in their lives. They made the decision to say “Yes!” as often as possible the week.

So did these campers have a great day? They, all four, would answer with a resounding “YES!”
